Even though the world is reaching the heights in terms of progress but there’s still a long way to go. When it comes to women empowerment, we are lagging behind somewhere. There are still a few places that consider women to be inferior to men and have double standards that women have to face. 1. Women are still not paid the same wages as men for doing the same jobs in the US.
In 1963, An act of Equal Pay was signed but US is still unable to reach that goal and fails in giving equal pay to women for equal work. An average American woman earns approximately 80.5 cents for every dollar a man earns and women’s median annual earnings are $10,086 less than men’s, according to data from the US Census Bureau.
